Price's CV is impressive: his Clockers is considered one of the defining crime novels of the last 20 years, and he wrote numerous episodes for arguably the greatest TV show of all time, The Wire. He also was heavily into cocaine in the 1980s, which goes a long way towards explaining his photo.
