Arguably the best and most versatile actor of the last 30 years, De Niro has played such classic figures as the young Vito Corleone in The Godfather II, Michael Vronsky in The Deer Hunter, and Jake La Motta in Raging Bull. As if that's not enough, he can now be seen sashaying his way across the deck and dressing in women's clothes as Captain Shakespeare in Stardust, a recent and underrated fantasy in the vein of The Princess Bride.
